Tip Your Server!!!! Don't be so cheap!

What Qualities Do We Love to See in a Customer?

Thanks so much to all of you who contributed to this section!
Maggie, you ROCK!

Be Prepared.
If you aren't ready to order when we ask, please say so. We'll be happy to return in a few minutes. Though it is our goal to make you feel as if you are our only priority, you're not. We have other tables who are waiting, too, so please understand.

Do you know you always have ranch dressing with your fries? Or some other preference?
Please tell us when you place your order, so we can bring everything in one trip. As we lovingly place your food in front of you is not the time to announce 'Oh, I'll need ranch with my fries.' Again, if it is something you know you will need, tell us up front. We really appreciate it, and you'll get everything you need even quicker!

The polite response to our greeting of 'How are you doing today?'
is not a blank stare, 'What kind of beer do you have', 'I want coffee now', 'Can you heat up my babies' food', or anything other than, 'I'm fine, how are you?' or 'I'm having a rotten day. How are you doing?' Please respond politely when asked, we really do want to know how you are doing. Perhaps we can cheer you up!

Are you a 'camper'?
See definition...please be a considerate one.

Water is a drink.
When we ask what you would like to drink, please respond with what you would like to drink, including water. 'I don't want anything to drink right now, so I'll take a glass of water' is rather silly. Please order it when we ask, not when we deliver your friend's water and you exclaim 'Oh, I'll take water, too!'

Please ask for separate checks when we take your order, not when we present the check at the end of your glorious dining experience.
Does this really need an explanation?

Wait for the Hostess
If, when you enter the restaurant you see a hostess stand, chances are you need to be seated. Please wait. Someone will be there quickly. When you seat yourself, you disrupt the rotation and servers end up getting seated a number of times in a row, which can result in poor service. You may also seat yourself in an area that has been reserved for a larger party.

Large parties..please do not seat yourself
While we're on the subject...You have no idea what plans the restaurant may already have for those tables you are re-arranging, so again, please be patient and wait to be seated.

Sit where you are placed
Chances are, you were seated at the table you're at because the sections are being sat in a manner that will allow an equal number of tables for each server. You can really mess things up by insisting on a certain spot, when another table 5 feet away would be just as good. What seems like a whim of the hostess is actually a plan that needs to be followed so things run smoothly and you get the best service possible. If you find you must move, please ask your server or the hostess to move you to another spot. Please don't just get up and wander to another table.

Can I bring you anything else?
When we ask if we can bring you anything else, please tell us EVERYTHING else we can bring. Drink refills, more napkins, more dressing, etc. for EVERYONE at the table really can all be brought to you in ONE trip...please don't remember one item at a time each time we bring you an item you have requested. All those trips take time away from everyone else receiving the best service possible.

Coupons and other discounts
Please tip out on the total of the bill BEFORE all the discounts. We did the same amount of work bringing you that $50.00 meal before you gave us the '1/2 off entire bill' coupon.
